The late Dee Jay Nelson touted himself as the "World's Leading Authority on Egyptology."   Mr. Nelson was shown to be a fraud who obtained a phony degree from a mail order degree mill.  He attended no classes and did no homework.  The "school" was subsequently shut down by the State of Washington.  Although it has been shown that Nelson had no expertise as an Egyptologist, some critics still cite him as an authority.  Robert and Rosemary Brown exposed Nelson as a fraud in their book They Lie In Wait To Deceive, Vol. I.
