Statement:
WHEN IS A SECOND CHANCE A SECOND CHANCE?
"Repeatedly I've asked Mormons to tell me how many people in the spirit prison were given a second chance as Jesus
preached to them. Without fail I get the answer, 'Why all those there had a second
chance, unless they had one earlier and deliberately and knowingly rejected it.'"

Subject: WM: Still waiting for a reply
"Whered everyone go? I'm Still
Waiting for a reply from are mormon friends on my last post.
I hope you understand I am doing this in all sincerity, in hopes that you will
rejuct Mormonism and realise that you have been desived by the LDS Chruch and
that you have been forgive of your sins through grace as the Bible states. I
will show you in this first letter how the Mormon Doctrine Contadicts it self.
I realise that you have a book of mormon doctrine so if you dont believe my
quote you are freely ably to check them for your self. The Doctrine of
Polygamy - "Now Zeezrom said: Is there more than one God? And he
answered, No" (BOM Alma 11:28,29)- There are three
Gods--the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost(McConkie, Mormon Doctrine, 317).
Adam- "The Book of Mormon, the Bible, Doctrine and Covenants, and the
Pearl of Great Price all declare that Adam's body was created from the dust of
the ground, that is, from the dust of this ground, this earth"(Joseph
Fielding Smith, Doctines of Salvation, 1:90)- Adam was made from the dust of
an earth, but not from the dust of this earth (Brigham Young, Journal of
Discourses, 3:319) The Omnipotence of God - "Do not...say that he cannot
learn anymore...(Brigham Young, Deseret Weekly News, 22:309) - [God has]
knowledge of all things...(Joseph Smith, Lecture on Faith, 44, cited in
McConkie, Mormon Doctrine, 1966, 545). That will be all for to day. I Will be
awaiting your respones. -Sources Encyclopedia of Cults and New Religions by
John Ankerberg and John Weldon."

". . . Freemasonry is certainly where
Joseph Smith got the idea of the Melchizedek priesthood. It sounded religious so he incorporated it into his BoM and his subsequent
teachings. . . ."

Nomination
#7
"The
Holy Spirit is God's Sperm"
Nomination person:
Buff Scott
Nominated by: Wade Englund
Statement:
"True, Jesus was God's only begotten Son. God is Jesus' Father. No one
denies this truth---at least not non-Mormons. God's Holy Spirit conceived
Jesus in Mary's womb, yet God is the Father. In other words, the Holy Spirit
of God impregnated Mary. This would be equivalent to saying that my sperm
impregnated my wife and she bore me a son. My sperm is not the father.
I am. And so it is with God and His Holy spirit. We might say the Holy Spirit was
God's spiritual sperm that impregnated Mary." (Buff Scott, in an email to
Wade Englund, 8/1/99)
Nomination
#8 "A
Human isn't a chicken."
Nomination person: Matt Slick of CARM
Nominated by: Wade
Englund
Statement:
"A human isn't a chicken. It isn't physiologically possible to do this.
The brain must send the signals to the body to raise itself up. Chickens can flop
arround [sic], but that isn't what the story in the bom [Book of Mormon] states.
It says he [(Shiz)] raised himself up....Smith saw chickens do it on the farm so
he figured he'd throw it into the bom [Book of Mormon] to make it look cool."
(Matt Slick, in a post responding to David Knight's explanation of Ether 15:31 on CARM Mormonism Bulletin
Board, 10/6/99)
