Question 28

If the Bible isn't correctly translated, and even granting that Joseph "didn't complete" the translation (although Documented [sic] History of the Church 1:324, 368, The Times and Seasons 6:802, and the LDS Church Chronology all agree that the New Testament was finished on July 2, 1833), why haven't any of the other eleven Presidents of the Church finished the job?  This is especially important because there are 18 sections of the Doctrine and Covenants which contain the Lord's commands and specific instructions relating to the revision of the Bible and its publication to the world.  (See Doctrine and Covenants 73:4; 93:53; 124:89 as examples.)  Haven't all of the Presidents been sustained as "Prophet, Seer, and Revelator" of the LDS Church?
