What is the explanation for the fact that Oliver Cowdery wrote eight letters in the Messenger and Advocate beginning in 1834 which contain well over 15,000 words dealing with Joseph's and Oliver's baptism by an angel, yet he didn't once identify the angel as being John the Baptist?  Yet in later years, both he and Joseph said that they knew at the time (1829) that it was John the Baptist.
